Rooted Futures - Community Event Details

Ever wondered how you can be part of the Philadelphia Community Farm if you can’t move in and life-share?

The good news is: you don’t have to be on the farm to be in deep relationship with land, water, your fellow humans of many generations, abilities and identifies.

You can be a part of a community building this future together and we need you to imagine it with us.

So, this year, our end of year party is all about bringing the magic of the farm to you so we can imagine a *Rooted Future *together.

At the event:

  • We will tell you about: Philly Community Farm’s mission, stories of care for land, art in action, and young people accessing the wildness of Philly Farm this year and our goals for next year, and what it takes to make it all happen.

  • We will show you: our rituals for greeting each other, a new ritual for imagining together as a group of unique and connected beings, and our ritual for sharing food and its story.

To participate, please bring a small, shareable dish that’s meaningful to you.

  • *We will engage you: with a musical score for the evening created by our artists-in-residence and community members, with co-created visual art, and invite you into creative movement to awaken our imaginations. Join or take in all or some of these artistic offerings. *

It can feel like there is nothing we can do to change things. Rooted Futures on December 13th is an opportunity to live, at least for an evening, a different way together: rooted, abundant, and enduring.
